Our name comes from the small town of Orono, MN, which is 15 miles west of Minneapolis, on the north shore of majestic Lake Minnetonka.
In Minnesota the winters are long and harsh, but those who are prepared not only survive but thrive in those elements. And when summer arrives, you know the hardship was worth it.
This is the essence of being a "sponsor-preneur" in the lower middle market: the journey is tough, but the payoff is worth it.

MEET OUR FOUNDER
Our founding partner, David Shuler, is a 20+ year veteran of the lower middle market, having completed stints as a capital provider, independent sponsor, investment banker, and owner/operator. David has extensive contacts of capital providers throughout the US, and knows how to close deals.
Previously, David was a partner at a premier junior capital provider prior to spinning out to pursue life as an independent sponsor. He served as interim CEO of his portfolio company, Snipers Edge Hockey, before stepping back into a board-level role. Earlier in his career, David was an investment banker with Lazard Middle Market and Dougherty & Company.
David has a BA from the University of Minnesota, and MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. When not working, David enjoys family time, coaching, guitar, tennis and hockey.
